The Escondido Public Library will discontinue access to several digital resources this September due to the cessation of state funding for the CAreer Pathways program. The state budget for the upcoming fiscal year, beginning July 1, 2024, does not include the necessary funds to sustain these services.
As a result, the following resources will no longer be available after their scheduled end dates:
These resources have been vital in supporting job seekers, career development, and lifelong learning within our community. The library is exploring alternative ways to continue offering support in these areas, despite the budget cuts.
Patrons are encouraged to utilize these resources while they are still available. Library staff are available to assist with transitioning to other services and can provide guidance on alternative resources.
