New Inspection Scheduling Process 

Beginning October 16, 2025, the City of Escondido is updating how building inspections are scheduled and viewed.

Key changes:

• Inspections will no longer be scheduled through the City’s webpage.
• All inspections must now be scheduled and viewed through the City Portal.

What you need to do:

1. Create a City Portal account – click “Create Account” at the bottom of the City Portal login page and follow the prompts.
2. Have your permit search code ready – this is printed on your inspection card and permit.
