Escondido Celebrates Grand Avenue Vision Project Phase II Completion
ESCONDIDO, CA – June 13, 2025 – The City of Escondido is happy to announce the highly anticipated completion of Phase II of the Grand Avenue Vision Project, marking a significant milestone in the revitalization of the City's historic downtown. This transformative project aims to revitalize and enhance the heart of downtown Escondido, creating a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly destination for residents and visitors alike.
To mark this significant milestone, the City hosted a special ribbon-cutting ceremony and community celebration on June 13th to commemorate this milestone. The event highlighted the new improvements to Grand Avenue, followed by a Cruisin' Grand Procession. This procession featured emergency vehicles and vintage fire trucks taking an inaugural drive through one of the new roundabouts, showcasing the project's enhancements and ushering a new era for downtown Escondido.
