In Escondido, it's easy to recycle your Christmas tree. We offer drop-off sites and curbside collection on your service day. If you live in an apartment or condo complex, please reach out to your property manager to get information about whether they have a designated location to leave the trees.
For curbside collection on your regular collection day, please follow these guidelines:
- Remove the lights, ornaments, tinsel, and tree stand.
- Cut the tree into 4-foot lengths and trim off branches if necessary.
- Place the tree inside your green cart with the lid closed for collection on your service day.
- No flocked trees.
When disposing of your Christmas tree, we DO NOT accept the following:
- No flocked trees.
- Tinsel or ornaments
- Nails
- Tree stands
