Rincon Fire Code
Ordinance 2025-116.1-7 Adopted October 28, 2025 and Ordinance 2025-116.2.1 Adopted October 28, 2025 (Code applies to Local Responsibility Area).
The Rincon del Diablo Fire Protection District have adopted the 2025 California Fire Code and the 2025 California Wildland Urban Interface Code by state law and did amend the 2025 California Fire Code and the 2025 Wildland Urban Interface Code.
The 2025 California Fire Code is based on the 2024 International Fire Code as amended by the State of California. The purpose of this code is to establish the minimum requirements consistent with nationally recognized good practices to safeguard the public health, safety and general welfare from the hazards of fire, explosion or dangerous conditions in new and existing buildings, structures and premises, and to provide safety and assistance to firefighters and emergency responders during emergency operations.
The California Health and Safety Code Section 17958.7 allows local amendments to the California Building Standards Codes, which includes the 2025 California Fire Code and the 2025 California Wildland Urban Interface Code, when such codes are amended and adopted at the local level and when local findings are made for unique climatic, geological or topographical conditions and associated staff report includes local findings. Those amendments are adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Diego are contained in the 2026 San Diego County Consolidated Fire Code.
