Special Event Permits

Overview

Organizations and businesses are welcome to host events in the City of Escondido with an approved Special Event Permit Application (PDF).

The city recommends submitting your permit application 60 to 90 days prior to the event date that you are considering.

Email the Special Events Supervisor Patrick Martinez or call 760-839-4022 to discuss the location and date to ensure that it is available or Fill out this form with a brief description of your event with the desired date and time and location so that our team can check to see if there are any other events scheduled for that location. 2. Will there be alcohol served at this event?
3. Is this a Private or Public event?
How many participants are you anticipating for your event?
Once the initial information is provided, city staff will contact you and provide the permit application for your event.
The application then goes through a city staff review process to check to see if any additional permits are needed, and to see if the event will require any additional fees for support such as police, fire or public works, etc.
The event applicant is then sent a Letter of Conditions outlining the items needed to collect for approving the event with any additional requirements or costs
Make sure to submit your event once you receive your Letter of Conditions
